Roof Repair Before & After Photos

Before and after pictures of a roof repair that we did in the south Charlotte area. The area where the fascia meets with the roof had rotted and was leading to leaks inside the home. Fortunately we where able to catch it on time before any damage occurred and we created a cricket to make sure the same issue never happens again.

This old roof had some leaks and the home owner contacted us to come inspect the roof. During our inspection we found that the roof had been damaged by hail. The insurance company sent out an adjuster and they agreed that the roof was in need of replacement due to the damage. The home owner choose to upgrade their shingle to an Owens Corning Oakridge Tru def Williamsburg Gray shingle and it not only looks better but carries a 110mph wind warranty. 

 

 

The homeowner called us with a concern about a bad leak coming from the roof. Our representative quickly located the source of the problem, and provided the homeowner with options to solve the problem. We replaced two sheets of wood decking to fix the leak and replaced all of the shingles with the homeowner's choice of Owens Corning Oakridge Architectural shingles in Onyx Black, and replaced two plumbing boots and installed U.V. guards, and replaced flashing on all the walls and chimneys in black.

This home contacted us with a leak at the chimney. When our tech went out to determine what the issue is, he found that there was no cricket installed at the chimney to divert the water away from the chimney. A "cricket" is designed to prevent the water from flowing directly into the chimney wall and is to direct the water around the chimney. The project consisted of removing the old shingles and underlayment, framing a cricket/new roof over the existin roof, intall Ice and water shield, new flashing and new chimneys. The chimney is now leak free and looks great!

The homeowner had a very bad leak coming into their home that had caused the wood to rot very badly in that area. We replaced the damaged wood and the shingles as well.
